– ABOUT

In this day of online auto insurance, working with an agent is most important to ensure your coverage matches your lifestyle and assets. Our agents are here to help you understand all the coverages included in your policy and to answer any questions you may have.

– TYPES

We like to explain your auto policy by breaking it down of three different types of coverage.

Pocketbook – (aka Liability Insurance): This coverage will protect your Pocketbook if you are involved in an “at-fault” accident, meaning you hurt someone or something. Our state has minimum liability limits, but it is important for you to talk with your agent about why these limits may not be enough to protect your pocketbook, and what limits best fit your needs.

Car – (aka Comprehensive, Collision, Rental, and Roadside Assistance): These coverages protect your car
and can be subject to a deductible, meaning the out-of-pocket amount you would be responsible for in
the event of a covered claim.

* Comprehensive coverage is for fire, theft, vandalism, windshields, accidents with animals and
acts of nature.
* Collision coverage pays to fix your own car’s damage if you hit another vehicle or object.
* Rental coverage will help pay for a rental car while your vehicle is being fixed after a covered
loss.
* Roadside Assistance coverage will provide towing or assistance needed or may reimburse you
for those expenses.

Family – (aka Medical Payment Coverage and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist): Medical Payment Coverage is an immediate coverage that can be used to pay for bills as a result of an accident, regardless of who is at fault, for you or anyone in your vehicle. We can often feel out of control after an accident, but Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist is a way for you to protect your family in the event the person at-fault doesn’t have enough coverage to pay your medical bills and property damage. There may be additional coverages available on an auto policy and it is best to talk with your insurance agent to make you have the right coverage to protect your pocketbook, your car, and your family.
